The Aukey Latitude Wireless Earbuds are a great pair of small and portable Bluetooth earbuds, but with so many different earbuds on the market – let’s have a look at why should you consider these.
The design of the earbuds is sleek and minimal with a plastic construction to keep it lightweight and keep the costs down. The earbuds come in a black finish with subtle Aukey branding on each earbud. The earbuds also have in-line controls on the left-hand side of the cable which allow you to perform a variety of functions, but most importantly – allow you to adjust volume and skip tracks. The earbuds have rubber ear-tips and ear-fins, in three sizes.
The headphones are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time and I notice the cable going around the back of my neck less than I thought I would which is a good thing. But I also wanted to test these earbuds a bit more intensely to see how they would stand up at the gym. I found that during high impact sports, such as running that having the in-line controller would pull the left earbud out of my ear slowly, but the ear-fins did help a lot to reduce how quickly this happened – the right earbud was unaffected. This could have been because I would typically use a small ear-tip but needed to use a medium sized one at the gym so the earbuds personally didn’t fit me perfectly but if you use rubber tip earbuds already, opposed to something like Apple’s EarPods or earbuds with ear-hooks then you should have luck with these earbuds. I found on other machines such as the rowing machine or spin-bike that these earbuds did just great.
The sound quality of the Aukey Latitude Wireless Earbuds is exceptional considering the price point that they come in at, and I think that there is a perfect balance of bass, mid and treble frequencies out of the box – it’s nice to see cheap earbuds that don’t focus on “enhanced bass” or “bass boosted” frequencies. The earbuds do have additional built in EQ settings that can be adjusted with the multifunction button, but I haven’t messed around with those at all because I am happy with how they sound currently.
Noise isolation is an important factor to consider if you want to focus on what you’re listening to. These earbuds provide great noise isolation when listening to music, so if you’re looking for earbuds that are going to help you focus and stay away from distractions – these will be great.
Battery life on the Aukey Latitude Wireless Earbuds is fantastic, Aukey claims up to 8 hours listening time with the earbuds but I have gotten 4 or 5 hours listening time and have only used up 20% of the battery doing that, so I think personally that the earbuds could go way beyond the 8 hour prediction so it’s nice to see a product exceeding expectations.
Overall, I think the Aukey Latitude Wireless Earbuds are a great pair of affordable wireless earbuds, and if you’re looking to pick up a pair of wireless earbuds I would suggest that you take a look at these.
