Aukey’s PB-Y13 portable charger is a slim and portable power bank that offers QuickCharge 3.0 and USB power delivery for quickly charging your devices.

Design
The charger shares a very similar form-factor and size to a smartphone, which makes it very slim to take around with you on the go and even have in your pocket whilst charging your device. This is quite a big advantage for those who may be on the go as many other portable chargers are usually a little thicker.
Aukey has used a matte black plastic finish across the portable charger. I like this finish as it helps reduce any visible scratches or scuffs and helps keep the product looking nicer for longer. A glossy plastic finish surrounds the charger, which helps add a little extra grip and make it easier to hold as it sticks out the sides a little.
The top side of the product has some minimal Aukey branding and the product information can be found on the underside.
The two USB Type-A and single Type-C port can be found at the top end of the device, as well as a charging indicator alongside the power button which comes in handy for letting you know how much power the charger has left. There’s also a micro-USB input on the top left-hand side.
Unfortunately, unlike the PB-Y22, there isn’t Lightning input connectivity available on this portable charger, so if that is something that you’re looking for the Y22 may be a better choice for you.
Features
The PB-Y13 has a bunch of features which makes it very handy for charging a range of different devices effectively. It also features a built-in capacity of 10,000mAh which will either give your phone at least a couple or a few charges depending on the size of your device’s battery.
The charger supports micro-USB as well as Type-C inputs for charging it up. This gives you some flexibility as if you have an Android device, you’d only need to carry around the appropriate cable to charge up both your phone and the portable charger.
Features such as Power Delivery and Quick Charge 3.0 are also supported, which allows for fast charging of a range of different devices. For example, Aukey claims that an iPhone which supports power delivery would be able to charge 50% in 30 minutes and Quick Charge compatible devices will be able to charge 80% in 35 minutes.
Quick Charge 3.0 is supported by the orange USB-A port, whilst the second black coloured port has no special features and is a normal 5V 2.4A port. Power delivery is supported by the USB-C port.
The charger also supports low-current devices such as fitness trackers or earbuds, this allows them to be charged safely at the rate that they support.
The portable charger itself can also be quickly charged using a wall charger that supports Power Delivery and can provide at least 18-watts of power.
Conclusion
Aukey’s PB-Y13 portable charger is a slim and convenient portable charger that is packed with useful features to make charging on the go or away from a wall socket fast and convenient. It does lack Lightning input, but if you don’t have an iOS device, or don’t mind carrying around two cables then it’s not a huge dealbreaker.
The Aukey PB-Y13 portable charger is available to purchase from Amazon.
