In this video I take a look at the iPad Pro, an iPad featuring a 12.9 inch screen, 3GB of RAM and Apples A9X Processor.
The first thing that strikes me about the iPad Pro is how big it is, the size of this tablet is enormous. I think Apple may need to thin out the bezels on the next version because the footprint of the tablet seems too large.
The iPad Pro also has a very specific target market, it is aimed towards professionals – graphics designers and video editors, but it has a bottleneck, iOS. If you can get all the work done on an iOS device, this is the device for you but if you need a computer to run full versions of Photoshop and video editing software, I don’t see a point of having to get a laptop and additionally an iPad to carry around with it as well.
I have been thinking that it would be great for the older generations moving from a laptop to a tablet, the large screen means that there is plenty of real estate to run two apps at once and the great performance means that it runs smoothly. The iPad is great, but this is not for me.
